Our History
We got our start in 1975 when Joe Busch and Charlie Mattis acquired two stores in Clinton and Saline from Vescio’s Foods and named them J&C Family Foods. When Joe retired in 1986, his sons, Doug, John, and Tim took over and acquired or built our now 16 stores. Over the years, we’ve continued to grow and evolve to better serve our customers, eventually shifting to the Busch’s name. We are a privately held independent supermarket chain based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and currently employee around 1,400 associates. Our Central Kitchen
All of our stores feature fresh baked goods made at our central kitchen in Clinton. You’ll find many delicious bakery items to choose from, including sweet treats, breads, and more.
