Since reclaiming an industrial building in in 2011, Artesian Farms has established the first commercial indoor vertical farm in the Midwest and one of the first in the nation. Their growing model represents an efficient use of space to produce their unique spring mix, kale, arugula, Artesian Heads and herbs.

In the early days, they picked, packed, and hand delivered boxes of conventional blueberries for friends, family, and members of their community. Since 2019, their main farm has been 100% USDA Organic operating with a commitment to restoration of the soil and growing the most nutritious produce possible.

Established in 1970 Ruhlig Farms LLC is a fourth-generation family-run agricultural business providing the Greater Detroit Area with high quality plants and fresh produce. Their nursery and greenhouses are full of decorative plants like flowering annual flats, hanging baskets, and a large variety of trees and shrubs. For the garden, they offer a variety of vegetable seed and plants, small fruiting bushes and fruit trees.
